'''Goatse.cx''' (also known as Goatse) was a [[shock site]] that prominently featured an image titled "Hello.jpg" depicting a man stretching his anus using both hands, revealing his anal cavity. This image became the first to be used in bait-and-switch pranks due to its shock value, where a user would bait another user into clicking a link. The website used the .cx domain because of its phonetic similarity to the word "sex", but the Christmas Island authorities eventually shut down the website. The page title simply reads "Eh", and the image used on the site, originally named "gap3.jpg", was sourced from the Gap.zip file, which contained several shock images of a man named Kirk Johnson "using dildos and butt plugs to stretch his anus". It is unclear whether Johnson posted Gap.zip himself, or if it originated from emails, FTP servers, or other sources.

In addition to "Hello.jpg" under the "The Receiver" section, the full website also featured "The Giver" section, which showed a man with a large penis reaching up to his chest, suggesting the "giver" was about to insert it into another man's anus. The website contained dead links to sites like urinalpoop.org and dolphinsex.org, and older links led to biganal.com. Kirk Johnson was also featured on other shock sites, including Detroithardcore.com<ref name="detroithardcore">A [[shock site]] made in 2001 showing a pornographic image of Kirk Johnson fiercely stretching his anus open with both hands along with a watermark displaying the site's name in the bottom-right corner.</ref>, Bottle Guy<ref name="bottleguy">A [[shock site]] made in 2005, hosted on both [[Shockchan]] and [[LOLShock]]. It displayed a pornographic image of Kirk Johnson with a large bottle inside of his anus.</ref>, and Goatsee.com/Goatsemarathon.com<ref name="goatsee">A slideshow of images depicting Kirk Johnson stretching/shoving big dildoes and butt plugs into his anus to stretch it wide open. The images are all Gap.zip images, which were taken from the contributed work section of Goatse.cx.</ref>. To this day, Goatse is still a common method of internet trolling.

== History and background ==
The ''Goatse'' image first emerged in 1997 as a part of a collection of 40 images of a man named Kirk Johnson, which were shared among the internet's gay porn community through email, FTP, and message boards like Usenet. However, when a hacker group called the "Hick crew" consisting mainly of teenage hackers and internet trolls, acquired the collection, they used one of the images, Johnson's stretched anus, to prank each other and their "enemies", including Christian chat forums, spamming the image until all other users left the chatroom. The image was stored in an unlabeled directory owned by one of the Hick crew members, but a hacker and Hick associate named Merl1n saw a better way to distribute it and registered the domain ''Goatse.cx'' in 1999. The website became incredibly popular as a prank, with users sending unsuspecting individuals an apparently innocent link, only to shock them with the image.<ref name="vice">Hernandez, Patricia. "Shit, Death, and Gore: How Shock Sites Shaped the Internet." Vice, 5 Aug. 2016, https://www.vice.com/en/article/wxnw7b/shit-death-and-gore-how-shock-sites-shaped-the-internet.</ref>

=== Website's history ===
In 1999, the original ''Goatse'' website featured the text "What are you doing here?" in the center, and after 10 seconds, it would redirect to index2.html. Later, two links to ''feedback.html'' and ''contrib.html'' were added, along with links to other websites supposedly created by the original owner, such as ''urinalpoop.org'' (a site about feces in urinals) and ''dolphinsex.org'' (a website featuring a guide on how to fuck a dolphin which was the main cause for getting the Goatse site removed). In 2003, the website owner addressed merchandising attempts for goatse.cx and announced that official merchandise was coming soon. However, on January 14, 2004, [[wikipedia:.cx|Christmas Island]] suspended ''Goatse.cx'' for violating their Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) following a complaint from its residents. The domain remained in suspension until January 2007 when it was placed back in the available domain pool.<ref>https://web.archive.org/web/20040531080510/http://www.nic.cx/complaints/goatse.cx/aup.noticeofcomplaint.pdf</ref>

On April 30, 2007, the ''goatse.cx'' domain name was sold at an auction to an unknown bidder. However, the first auction was plagued by fake bids, prompting a reactivation of the auction.<ref>Grossman, Lev. "Goatse.cx Now For Sale (Seriously)." Wired, 9 Apr. 2007, http://blog.wired.com/tableofmalcontents/2007/04/goatsecx_now_fo.html.</ref> The second auction was similarly affected, leading to Seobidding.com's announcement that the website would be sold for $500,000 and that legal action would be taken against the fake bidders.<ref>"Goatse.cx." SEO Bidding, archived from the original on 13 Jul. 2007, https://web.archive.org/web/20070713140015/http://www.seobidding.com/buy/auction/goatse.cx.</ref> As of November 25, 2007, the website was still for sale, with a minimum asking price of $50,200. In 2008, a new owner purchased the website for 8,000 euros, and it is now being developed as a subdomain service for hosting websites. While plans for a cryptocurrency called Goatse Coin were previously announced, no progress has been made.<ref>Caraan, Sophie. "Goatse Keeps Trying to Make Money with Cryptocurrency." Vice, 21 Feb. 2018, https://www.vice.com/en/article/xwbwa7/goatse-keeps-trying-to-make-money-with-cryptocurrency.</ref>

After the Christmas Island Internet Administration put the domain ''goatse.cx'' back into the available domain pool in January 2007, a typosquatting-like website about financing was found on the domain.<ref>''[https://web.archive.org/web/20070324073130/http://goatse.cx/ Goatse.cx]''. Archived from [http://goatse.cx/ the original] on 24 March 2007. Retrieved 10 April 2023.</ref> On January 16, the domain was registered through domain registrar Variomedia, and the registrant attempted to auction the right to use the domain. The first attempt to sell the domain by SEOBidding had a reserve of $120 which was not met. On July 4, 2008, the website was relaunched with a parody of the original site, replacing the "Hello.jpg" image with an image of ''[[wikipedia:Bill O'Reilly|Bill O'Reilly]]'', while the file name and alt text remained the same as before. In December, the image was changed again to showcase a stylized representation of hello.jpg, featuring a pair of silver robotic hands <nowiki>'stretching' a metallic, circular wall aperture in what appears to be a futuristic factory setting, with a photoshopped image of the character Gumby next to it</nowiki> (that is actually taken from a trailer for the Game Boy Advance video game ''Gumby VS the Astrobots''). The image had a link to a site called imagechan.com. The website still contained text above the image mentioning that it was still for sale.<ref>"Goatse.cx." Internet Archive, archived from the original on 18 Dec. 2008, https://web.archive.org/web/20081218034824/http://goatse.cx/.</ref>

On October 21, 2009, the Rick Latona "Daily Domains" newsletter advertised the goatse.cx domain for sale at $15,000, highlighting it as a "famous site" with numerous backlinks. The site was updated in April 2010 to announce the upcoming beta release of an emailing service called "Goatse Stinger 2.0" and included a Yahoo! mailing list and a parody sketch of the infamous "Hello.jpg" image. However, the email service was never launched beyond this point, and by June 2011, the "www." version of the website redirected to a web-hosting company's site. In October 2012, the goatse.cx domain was acquired by a new owner who planned to offer a webmail service with ''goatse.cx'' email addresses. The domain redirected to ''signup.goatse.cx'', with a launch planned for early December 2012. The website launched an [[wikipedia:Indiegogo, Inc.|''Indiegogo'']] campaign in 2013 to fund the email service.<ref>"Goatse.cx." Internet Archive, archived from the original on 21 Oct. 2012, https://web.archive.org/web/20121021141400/http://signup.goatse.cx/.</ref> In January 2014, the site announced the development of its own cryptocurrency, "Goatse Coin". In December of that year, the website began offering subdomains. The latest version of the site offers users the opportunity to purchase pixels for advertising purposes using the Ethereum blockchain. As of 2018, the owner has sold 6,000 pixels, earning $624 at .001 ETH (worth $104) per pixel, according to Vice. Although plans for the site's email system, Goatse Mail, were previously announced, it has yet to be launched.

On March 31st, 2024, the ''goatse.cx'' domain redirected to a [[wikipedia:Telegram|Telegram]] group named "Goatse's Crypto Project"<ref>t.me/goatse_group</ref>.

As of late 2024, the page now contains an elaborate article on Goatse, containing cryptic references to "Goatse AI" and mentions of "$goatse", which is most likely related to cryptocurrency, "GoatseTrivium," and various descriptions about the meme's origins and significance. It also includes other links such as the [[wikipedia:Telegram|Telegram]] group and [[Twitter]] page.
'''2 Kids 1 Sandbox''' (also known as Kids in Sandbox) was a [[shock video]] hosted on [[LOLShock]] and various other shocking sites, created in [[:Category:1990s|1999]].

The video features low-quality footage of a woman whose pornstar name is Heather Lyn repeatedly inserting a small, yellow-white dildo inside a man's penis, resulting in a very painful image of the penis swelling drastically due to the expansion of the urethra. The video ends with the woman sliding the dildo across the tip of the man's penis.

The footage is taken from a 2000 porn film called "The All New Freaks of Nature".

It should be noted that this video originally came from another [[shock site]] known as The Gummi Series.
'''Eel Soup''' (or "'''Eeel [sic] soup'''", as the website actually shows) is a zoophillic [[shock video]] taken from the pornographic film ''Gusomilk'' (2002), and has been hosted on many [[shock sites]] in 2008.

The video begins with footage that appears to be recorded in an empty room. The video depicts two Japanese girls, one girl inserting a funnel into the other girl's anus. She then proceeds to put several dozens of live one-inch baby eels in the funnel, to ensure that they will all go inside her anus. After putting all of the eels inside her anus, she farts all of the eels out.

Before the closure of [[LOLShock]], the video was changed to two women using an eel as a dildo. In the middle of the video, a man comes out.

Ilovethefishes.com would play the video with music from the 2007 talk show ''Tiny Chicken Machine Show'' episode two, sung by the character Kiko, played by Kim Evey. The video shocked netizens, prompting many reactions on YouTube, including YouTuber [[wikipedia:PewDiePie|PewDiePie]]'s reaction to his 2016 "Things You Should Never Google" video featuring Ilovethefishes and other shock videos.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWGA6DqKDRU</ref> The site, in addition to the video, contains the phrase "''I love the fishes, cuz they're so delicious''."

== History and background ==

=== Website's history ===

As of late 2024, the page now contains an elaborate article on Goatse, containing cryptic references to "Goatse AI" and mentions of "$goatse", which is most likely related to cryptocurrency, "GoatseTrivium," and various descriptions about the meme's origins and significance. {{quote|One man, one screwdriver is an interesting short movie showcasing the difficulties of fitting a screwdriver inside of your genitalia. The movie has twists, turns and a surprising ending that leaves viewers ready for more|IMDb description}}
'''1 Guy 1 Screwdriver''', also known as '''1 Man 1 Screwdriver,''' is a possibly staged [[Shock site|shock video]] made by Alexey Tatarov, the creator of [[Jarsquatter]], which was originally uploaded on [[EFUKT.com|eFukt]] on April 19th, 2009.

The video begins by showing a naked middle-aged man sitting on top of a glass and inserting it inside his anus, while he has a screwdriver handle in his urethra. The songs that play are the first 12 seconds of [https://youtube.com/watch?v=L0PEsWaMXK0&pp Curses! Another Shape-Shifting Wraith] by the band ''A Thousand Times Repent'' and then [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWKtrze79Ys Circumambulation of the Transendent Pillars of Singularity] by the band ''Burzum''. The video then cuts to him pulling the screwdriver out of his penis by both shank and blade, damaging it, and causing blood to flow.

The video cuts to the puddle of blood on the floor with the screwdriver in the floor before the man walks into his bathroom, revealing that his bathtub and sink are both filled with blood, leading to the uncomfortable implication that he's done this more than once. The ambience of this video (lighting, music) is also very disturbing.

Like its more infamous predecessor, it has its own IMDb entry, though as of late February 2025 it has a slightly lower average score of 7.5/10 based on 77 ratings.<ref>https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6380846</ref>
'''''2 Girls 1 Cup''''' is the unofficial nickname for a [[shock video]] depicting a one-minute trailer created for the 2007 Brazilian coprophilia film ''Hungry Bitches'', produced by [[MFX Media]]. Along with [[Goatse]], it is probably the most famous piece of shock media in history.

[[File:MFX 1209.png|thumb|left|150px|alt=Yellow title reading “MFX 1209” in a stencil font|The production code displayed at the beginning of the trailer]]

The trailer starts with a yellow title that reads "MFX 1209", before transitioning to two lesbians, the actresses Karla and Latifa, kissing each other while half topless, followed by scenes of Latifa defecating onto a cup. They eat and lick their own feces from the cup and vomit into each other's mouths, as well as the cup and also eating it, all while the song "Lover's Theme" by [[Wikipedia:Hervé Roy|Hervé Roy]] plays throughout the video. There are multiple websites hosting this video, one of them alternatively playing "[[Wikipedia:Never Gonna Give You Up|Never Gonna Give You Up]]" by [[Wikipedia:Rick Astley|Rick Astley]] throughout the video.

The full movie has actual background audio and has far more disgusting acts, such as Latifa urinating onto the cup, them drinking their urine, putting all of the feces on the ground and into a bowl, etc.

== Background ==
The video was originally directed by Antonio Fiorito. Fiorito was interested in producing homemade fetish films since 1994 with his wife. A few years later, he soon moves on to start a fetish film business and chooses coprophilia as one of its main fetishes. This is the origin of MFX Media.

Many viewers believed the feces in the videos to actually be food substances, such as chocolate ice cream, peanut butter, or etc. Some viewers also believe the vomit was actually real, but was regurgitated before reaching the stomach. In addition, the majority of the vomit does not go into their mouths. The director was later fired for arguing that the excrement was chocolate ice cream.

The title "MFX 1209" at the start of the video is actually a production code for the movie ''Hungry Bitches'', as well as the URL on mfxvideo.com.

After the viral spread of the video, a rumor began to spread claiming that Latifa had died from dysentery after consuming the feces and that the director was arrested. However, Latifa still stars in many of MFX Media's videos alongside Karla, but the latter had been confirmed.

== 2girls1cup.com ==
The [[video]] first appeared on the [[website]] ''2girls1cup.com'', which only featured the video playing automatically in fullscreen. The site's creator (named as Polarbur) claimed he found the video on SomethingAwful and made the website to share or spam the link on forums; the original video begin around 600 MB long. Later, the original owner gave the site to someone else, who turned it into a platform for generic scams and pornographic advertising. In the first six months, the site had accumulated at least around 32 million views, which breaks [[Goatse]]'s record, which accumulated 27 million in a longer span of eight months.<ref>https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/d299j/i_created_the_2girls1cup_viral_website_ama/</ref>

== In popular culture ==
{{See Also|Reaction videos}}
The video grew very popular as users started creating parodies and [[reaction videos]] of it. There is a variant of the site which uses a script that attempts to prevent the user from closing the site by causing the web browser's window to wander on the desktop, and displaying an infinite number of alert boxes reading "HELLO!" when the user attempted it.

In the ''[[wikipedia:Family Guy|Family Guy]]'' episode "''[[wikidata:Q4034788|Back to the Woods]]''", Brian asks Stewie Griffin to help him get unhitched to a pole, which the latter declines in retaliation to Brian leading him to watch the shock video. This is followed by a flashback scene of Brian filming Stewie sitting on the computer and reacting to the content in disgust.

The video's unofficial name has set a major standard in shock videos where most shock sites are titled in the "Noun X Noun X" pattern. Examples include [[1 Man 1 Jar]], [[1 Man 1 Screwdriver]], [[3 Guys 1 Hammer]], [[2 Girls 1 Finger]], [[1 Girl 1 Cake]] (a.k.a Cake Farts), 1 Lunatic 1 Ice Pick. The list goes on.
'''1 Guy 1 Basketball''' is a short 13-second [[shock video]] being hosted and uploaded on eFukt on January 26, 2009. Despite the name there are actually no men participating.

The video with an approximate duration of 8 seconds (without counting the seconds of the eFukt logo) starts with a woman slowly removing a basketball from a transwoman's anus. The woman uses a piece of plexiglass with a small hole in it helping removing the ball slowly. While the ball is being removed, the woman can be heard grunting loudly. The ball then "pops" out of the anus a few seconds later and [https://youtu.be/edQ5SKQIFKQ?si=0nXHwtg65vmVXsiA "Can't Catch Me"] by The Grouch can be heard. The camera then cuts to a zoomed-out shot right before cutting to the said website's logo.

The video has amassed over 1.5 million views on eFukt alone.

Another video with a longer duration was uploaded to the page el.shop.com and el.ladies.com on March 25, 2006, this one has a duration of 15 seconds and you can see how after extracting the ball the woman introduces the arm in the anus repeatedly.

Later the video was stored by the page threesixes.com within its gross videos section.

===eFukt Description===
For centuries many will wonder - how did he do it? How did one man fit an entire basketball into his anus? Vigorous week-long training sessions? Nah. Optical illusion? Nope. Homosexual superpowers that transform one's rectum into a 4th dimension gateway? I suspect so.

== Origin ==
The origin of this video comes from the French extreme fetish porn movie ''Travelos humiliés'' although specifically from one called "Violente Soumission" probably released in the 90s or early 2000s, by director Philippe Lhermite.<ref>xhamster.com/videos/travelos-humilies-3985294 (contains [[pornography]])</ref>

Throughout the 93-minute film, a dominatrix can be seen inserting all kinds of objects into the transwoman’s anus, as well as fisting the transwoman.

What is shown in the videos of efukt and threesixes is a small part of the movie. It is actually the woman's second attempt to inflate the balloon inside of her. In the first one, it is not inflated enough, and she decides to make another attempt, which comes out how she wanted it.
