The animation starts with a stick figure saying, "Now I'm going to show you comics that will make you think!" in the creator's voice. It then proceeds to show a comic of Naruto and Sasuke. After a few seconds, a picture of a drawn Noob figure from Roblox screaming "H3lp M3H IM STUCK!!!!" is shown. However, it then abruptly changes to a picture of the same screaming woman from Katies Scary Face (which is also the project's thumbnail, spoiling the fact that it is a screamer), accompanied by the creator's scream. The picture then disappears, and the same stick figure from before appears again, apologizing to the viewer and walking away, at which point the same screamer appears again, albeit without any sound.

A Day In The Life Of The Steel Legion was a [[screamer]] [[video]] uploaded to [[YouTube]] on November 25th, 2006 by VenerableDread.

A good chunk of this video is footage of the game [[wikipedia: Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War|Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War]] intercut with text stating a possible story for the scenarios. All seems fine and good until the ending, where text appears: "THE END! Now go home, or..." on a yellow background. After this, an image of a giant spider in a room (later used in [[Saddam Hussein Execution]]) appears, flashing with a loud version of the scream from the [[K-fee commercials]]. The video ends with "Now it's THE END. Happy now?"

The video was later deleted due to VenerableDread's account being terminated, and was lost for quite some time, but it was later reuploaded by [[Special:Contributions/LetycjuszS|LetycjuszS]] on the Screamercord.

This Flash prank disguises itself as a simple maze game, in which the player must use their mouse cursor to guide a small dot through the maze. At the start screen, a note informs the player that the objective of the game is to pass through all four levels, and the player cannot touch the walls; however, the game consists of only three levels. The game also explains that it's best with the volume on, but there's no sound in any part of the game.

Since this infamous Flash game debuted in 2004, it has become a popular internet screamer. It has inspired a variety of different maze screamers to be made over the years.

==Gameplay==
The first two levels are easy to complete. But as the third level is reached, the walls begin to shrink and have sharp turns, making it difficult to avoid touching them. This usually makes the player concentrate on the screen. Then, near the first curve to the left of the maze sharp part (The game also knows if the player is cheating; if they use right-click), a close-up image of [[Regan MacNeil]] (the possessed character portrayed by [[wikipedia:Linda Blair|Linda Blair]]) from the 1973 supernatural horror film ''[[wikipedia:The Exorcist|The Exorcist]]'' pops up along with a loud, distorted scream that plays twice, scaring the player.

The game was uploaded to Jeremy's now-defunct personal website, Winterrowd.com, in 2005. The original version of the game had some slight differences in colors, where orange/yellow with alternative text was used instead of cyan. There's an alternative version of the game that is used in the comedy television series ''[[America's Funniest Home Videos]]'', where Regan at the end is replaced with the one from [[What's Wrong?]],<ref>youtu.be/kZKZa9bwhnA?t=30</ref> due to concerns regarding copyrighted content.

The most viewed Maze Game video was uploaded by YouTube user nalts and has accumulated over 43 million views as of October 2017. However, the video was removed due to the channel's termination.

Even though only three levels exist in the game code, some videos circulated about a secret fourth level. On [[YouTube]], there are some fake videos of people supposedly successfully going through the 3rd level and finally entering the 4th level, instead of a screamer. The earliest "[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXWsd5_qlpw tutorial]" on how to get to the 4th level was uploaded by the YouTube user SoccerMomDebbie on October 19, 2008.

Other videos of the mysterious level continued to circulate. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NedCSuGt0eg This video], which has more than 1.25 million views as of 2019 showed the cursor make a shortcut (which in practice would have killed the player) in level 3 unlocks a trigger to level 4 (pictured); once finishing the level, the game goes back to the main screen; text asks the viewer; "care to try a little bit faster this time?".

The creator revealed that the idea originated from a photoshopped screenshot of Sonic the Hedgehog's loading screen. This manipulated image portrayed the character with eye wounds while still retaining his mocking smile.<ref>https://www.creepypasta.com/sonic-exe/</ref>

In this story, the author Tom shares an experience involving a potentially glitched or hacked Sonic game. It all starts when the author receives an unusual CD in the mail from their friend Kyle. The CD is labeled "SONIC.EXE" and it comes with a note urgently pleading with the author to destroy it to prevent "evil" from pursuing them. Despite that, the author decides to give the game a try. As they play, a series of strange and unsettling events begin to unfold. Navigating through the game as different characters—Tails, Knuckles, and Robotnik—Tom encounters a sequence of unsettling occurrences. The game's world features dead animals, twisted-level designs, and glitchy gameplay, suggesting that something is seriously wrong. What's more, the characters' expressions seem to change from normal to fearful, as if they are breaking the fourth wall and trying to communicate directly with the player.

Suddenly, at one moment during the game, the computer shuts down unexpectedly, and the author is unable to restart it no matter what he tries. As the author struggles to remove the game from their computer, they encounter resistance as if the game has become stuck in the system. Eventually, Tom manages to restore power to the computer and is met with a whisper-like voice from behind. The voice urges him to "keep this interesting." While playing as Tails, progress until you come upon the remains of deceased animals strewn across the ground and among the palm trees, and run to take the left path. Navigating through this will guide you to an unfamiliar level. In this location, you'll spot Sonic positioned below. Upon making contact with Sonic, more static follows, accompanied by the message "The fire awaits." Subsequently, Tails returns to HILL. As you proceed left, you'll notice a black ring that you can collect.

When assuming the role of Knuckles, proceed along the same leftward path as Tails. Upon reaching a sizeable pit, jumping into it sets off a series of glitches alongside the message "Don't like playing by the rules?" Keep moving forward to the FFFFFFFFF course, where Knuckles encounters a succession of photosensitive-inducing screens. Navigating through these distorted words ultimately leads to a definitive message: "YOU'RE NEXT" followed by static. Knuckles subsequently returns to "YOU CAN'T RUN" and continues to the left, discovering a second black ring that they can collect.

Robotnik begins by walking to the right and then proceeds to the left, following a route akin to that of Tails and Knuckles. As you opt for the left path, static emerges, leading Robotnik to an unnamed course. Text becomes visible: "Why do you persist in fighting? My game has only just begun." Further static follows, and Robotnik returns to "...". Move left once more to locate the third black ring, available for you to collect.

After obtaining all 3 black rings, the game wraps up and transitions to an image that brings to mind the Japanese text, now translated into English. The text conveys:

However, upon replaying the video, blood splatters are added, and a picture of a cop's head scrolls down the bottom of the screen, making for a startling and disturbing surprise.
