Hi Verooo!!! It is a [[screamer]] [[youtube]] video by Indie band "The Light-Looker Society" to promote their album of the same name. The video was uploaded to both the band's official Instagram page and the YouTube channel of frontman Mr. Light.

The video starts by showing the cover of the album which consists of a picture by Venezualan artist Erick Gomez/e254e of the band's mascot Light-Neko a tan furred cat with pink hair, a pink dress and LED glasses happily saying hi to Veronica (one of Gomez's characters) a white cat with a black beanie with a broken heart on it who is looking over at her with annoyed expression with "ugh... great, here comes little miss Glowy glasses, please not today!" written in a speech bubble beside her. While the image is shown, the dialogue is also being played as a voice-over.

Once the dialogue ends, the scene abruptly cuts to another picture of Veronica staring at the viewer with her eyelids and cheeks cut off, akin to [[Jeff the Killer]], while a loud bang and screaming sound effect plays.

== Trivia ==

* A legit teaser was also uploaded, which consists of the screamer being replaced with a blurred image of the back cover of the album with text reading "Find out what happens May 31st."
* The full cover, which consists of both the image used in the screamer and the back cover, which consists of Veronica shooting the mascot with a rifle, can be viewed on Gomez's Pixiv and X accounts
The '''Mentally Disturbing''' series is a collection of videos created by Connor Cummins, also known as Contron. The first episode of this series was uploaded to Contron's [[YouTube]] channel on January 31, 2006. The series has a total of seven episodes, only two of which are available on Contron's channel.

Mentally Disturbing's videos stand out for their content, which many consider psychedelic—including flickering images, loud sounds, and distortion effects, among other elements. It is considered one of the first disturbing video series on YouTube.

== History ==
Contron's YouTube channel was launched on August 8, 2005<ref>https://www.youtube.com/@contron</ref>. The first episode, titled “''Mentally Disturbing'',” was posted on January 31, 2006, making it one of the first horror and screamer videos uploaded to the platform. To date, the video has over 1.1 million views. Six more episodes were released between February 2006 and April 2008.

Sometime in early 2025, most of the episodes of Mentally Disturbing were removed from Contron’s channel, allegedly for violating the platform’s policies and terms of service, as several of them contained images deemed violent or highly explicit. Only the first and sixth parts of Mentally Disturbing can be found on Contron’s channel. The rest of the episodes can be found re-uploaded on YouTube or on the Wayback Machine. Contron announced that it would upload all episodes of *Mentally Disturbing* to Dailymotion<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLHirLp52tg</ref>. However, the playlist containing the videos is empty<ref>https://www.dailymotion.com/user/contron</ref>.

The player spawns on the rooftop of a random, apartment-style building in the dead of night. A static radio transmission, a roof hatch, and nothing but the eerie, deafening sound of wind. The player can simply exit through the roof hatch, which looks like a carved hole but turns out to be a slide instead of a regular exit. Inside, "missing" ''[[wikipedia:Shrek|Shrek]]'' print-up notices can be found every floor of the building, making them impossible to ignore. Take the flight of stairs and leave this building as soon as possible.

Outside, a strange path leads into the unknown. Soon, they encounter ''[[wikipedia:Shrek|Shrek]]'', who appears extremely thin and stripped down to nothing but a scrap of black clothing; like a mere shell of his former self. He turns to stare at the player, pauses briefly, and then, in sheer disgust, teleports them into a bottomless pit of "onions".
===Shrek Balloon===
[[File:Shrek building.png|thumb|250px|It all burns down.]]
Waking up in his own cabin, the player realizes it was all just a nightmare. He lives in the middle of nowhere still, so he steps outside to explore the surrounding hills in search of anything interesting.

Eventually, he finds an oversized ''[[wikipedia:Shrek|Shrek]]'' balloon, its strings anchored to a small apartment building, and a locked door. Making contact with the balloon distorts Shrek's face, triggering an internal fire explosion and plays a beeping sound that mimics a heartbeat in a rhythmic loop. This event unlocks a previously inaccessible door in the burning apartment building. Inside, the player will find a door leading to the next area.

Once entered, the screen turns completely black and the beeping stops. After a brief moment of suspense, a flashing image of ''[[wikipedia:Shrek (character)|Shrek]]'' appears alongside an extremely loud, distorted scream. Following the [[screamer]], a pair of ''[[wikipedia:tategaki|tategaki]]'' Japanese text briefly displays on screen translating to "[[wikipedia:Shrek is love, Shrek is life|Shrek is love, Shrek is life]]."

===The End (almost)===
[[File:LSD Shrek.png|thumb|right|200px|A screenshot of the [[wikipedia:LSD: Dream Emulator|LSD: Dream Emulator]]-esque level.]]
The game finally reveals where the apartment door leads, spawning the player into an area that mirrors the textures, aesthetic and ambience of [[wikipedia:LSD: Dream Emulator|LSD: Dream Emulator]]. This environment quickly teleports them to yet another location: back at the top of a random building. The player is Stripped of all choices here. He cannot exit through the door or explore the surroundings, leaving them stuck here forever.

Left with no other choice, the player must use a platform to jump over the building; this seemingly fatal jump triggers yet another black screen. A poorly drawn blood splatter stains the darkness, followed by a credit sequence, and finally, a scene of 3d-modeled Shreks dancing in celebration of the player's death.

The game features a main menu screen with Christmas-themed text and a loading screen before presenting a brief instructional blurb and a button to start the gameplay. The objective is to dress up the snowman by dragging hats and other clothes from the item slots onto it. Once the player finishes, they can click on the "Watch Him Dance" button. However, upon clicking it, a skeleton pops out of the snowman and screams the word "die" three times, followed by the standard Liquid Generation sabotage outro sequence.
'''Maze of Shadow''' was a [[Flash]] [[screamer]] game created by ''HighUpStudio'' on December 5th, 2012 (according to its metadata). It was later hosted on '''ScaryMazeGame123.com''' on December 15th of the same year.

The concept of the game is slightly different from others, as the player must use their cursor to guide a white dot through a narrow brick-wall maze to reach the white checkpoint, with only the use of a flashlight. If the player touches a wall, they will continue where they left off. There are 3 possible routes through the maze, which are: left, right, or straight through the top. All lead to the same point near the end of the game.

However, upon reaching the third goal, a flashing image of a screaming demonic face pops up, accompanied by a loud scream. Afterwards, 2 buttons appear at the bottom, giving the option to play more scary maze games or to share the game on [[wikipedia:Facebook|Facebook]].
'''Extreme Maze''' was a [[screamer]] game made using [[Adobe Flash]] and created on September 25th, 2011 and released 2 days later by an unknown user.

The game's objective is to maneuver a yellow square through a maze surrounded by white lines (which serve as the walls) and to reach its end. If the user touches the walls, text that says "You embarrass yourself!" appears. The three levels in the game get progressively harder to navigate through, giving players a feeling of apprehension.

However, in the middle of the third level, a picture of [[Samara Morgan]] from ''The Ring'' unexpectedly appears on the screen, accompanied by a loud, short female scream from the 1988 film [[wikipedia:Slugs_(1988_film)|''Slugs'']]. The game will remain in this state indefinitely until it is restarted.

'''Steady Hand''' (まぢいらいら某 maji iraira bō<ref>https://www.reddit.com/r/translator/comments/ijip9x/japanese_english_message_from_a_japanese_flash/</ref>) also known as '''Japanese Scary Maze''' is a [[screamer]] flash game possibly made in early 2004. Unlike most screamers, the origin of this game remains unknown, but the earliest mention of this screamer was from a bulletin board forum for the game ''Fortress Forever'', which featured a link to the [[screamer]] hosted from the site ''flabber.nl'' in the fall of 2004.<ref><nowiki>http://www.fortress-forever.com/forums/showthread.php?t=772&styleid=1</nowiki></ref> Shortly after, a flash website [[Albino Blacksheep]] also featured the [[screamer]] in November 2004. This was one of the earliest maze games to date; being released earlier than [[The Maze]] itself.

== Gameplay ==
The main menu features the Japanese title "まぢいらいら某" which translates as: "Steady Hand (Madji iraraibo)" and text below the title "STARTを押すとすぐに始まります作りが雑ですいません" which translates from Japanese to English into "game will start immediately after you press START".

The gameplay is to guide a dot through the maze surrounded by thin walls and to reach its end. The player advanced to the next level after reaching and clicking that "G O A L" button. Once before the player reaches the end of Level 2, a black-and-white portrait of a baby wearing a sheep costume doing the [[Harlequin Fetus|harlequin fetus]] pose (taken from [[Wikipedia:Deathrealm|Deathrealm]]'s magazine cover) appears in a solid red background, accompanied by a loud edited roar, which is later used in [[Zoeken]].

In 2005, there was an unofficial English version of ''Steady Hand'' titled ''Tiny Dot Maze''. This version featured minor changes, such as a different menu screen and the "Game Over" message being replaced with "DAMN!". The game's website claimed to reward anyone who completed the supposed "Level 10" with $100, however, upon reaching the end, the player was instead greeted with the [[Hai2u]] image accompanied by a puking sound. Unlike the original, where the screamer appeared just before the end, this version displays the image after the player dies. Afterwards, players are redirected to a page titled "results.php", which displays a message stating "Whoops looks like our maze is a little buggy!!" along with a hyperlink allowing the viewer to replay the game. This site has similarities with other [[Shock site|shock sites]] such as [[PhoneTrace.org|PhoneTrace]] and [[MedicalTracer.com|MedicalTracer]], which provide the same misleading explanations about their site being "buggy" after its shocking content appears.

Another alternate version of this screamer was made by ScaryMazeGame123.com. In this version, the title of the game is changed to orange text that says "The Maze Game" and the game over screen simply says "ScaryMazeGame123.com". However, the original screamer remains untouched.
{{Quote|And yet another school project requiring me to make a maze in flash :D I've added a probably expected ending..|Ralph David Umali}}
'''AMAZING MAZE''' is a Flash [[screamer]] made by game developer Ralph David Umali (under the alias Bobbyo04). It was made as a school project and published to [[Newgrounds]] on February 8th, 2013.

The game starts off with a intro made by the developer with the text "Cracked Ideas Presents". After the intro is finished, we are greeted with a title screen with a big red flashy button alongside the intro music from [[wikipedia:Super Mario World|Super Mario World]]. The developer tells us to keep the mouse on the button (hovering over the button plays a sound).

Clicking the button leads to a maze that we need to navigate. Additionally, the developer also tells us that if the player finishes the maze, they get a bonus ending. In case if the player attempts to cheat, the classic right-click trick restarts the maze. However, this implementation of a patch against the right-click trick was patched.

After winning, the player gets the choice to navigate a bonus maze. This bonus maze looks highly trivial to do. However, before the player even finishes it, the player is greeted with an image of David Kessler in his werewolf form from the 1981 horror comedy film ''[[wikipedia:An American Werewolf in London|An American Werewolf in London]]'' accompanied with the same scream from Slendytubbies. It's to note that the music still plays during the screamer portion.
'''Just a normal photo of handsome ol' me''' is an animated GIF created by Aldrine Joseph Chuaquico on October 7th, 2024 and uploaded onto his DeviantArt, Tumblr and Instagram account. This screamer is disguised as a still image.

The GIF starts off by showing a still image of Aldrine himself in his room, with printed pictures of some of his favorite fictional characters, such as [[Wikipedia:Tom and Jerry|Tom and Jerry]], [[Wikipedia:The Powerpuff Girls|The Powerpuff Girls]], [[Wikipedia:Mario|Mario]], and [[Wikipedia:Kirby (character)|Kirby]], glued onto the wall behind him. After exactly four seconds, the image turns dark and zooms up close to Aldrine's face, which is an eyeless version of himself and a wide open mouth with sharp teeth.

The GIF version of the screamer is silent, but the version shared on Instagram features the same scream from [[Scary Tic-Tac-Toe]].
'''An Ordinary Battle Amongst Familiar Town''' is a [[screamer]] video uploaded to YouTube by TweenAnimations on June 2, 2014. The video is a parody of [[An Ordinary Battle Amongst Familiar Hills]] by Hazard-The-Porgoyle. Judging by its title, the screamer is aimed towards ''[[Wikipedia:The Powerpuff Girls|The Powerpuff Girls]]'' fans.

As stated, the video shares the same concept as the aforementioned screamer, with a few differences. A photo with a depiction of Blossom facing against Mojo Jojo in the City of Townsville (in a similar style to Sonic fighting Eggman from the original video), with Sonic.exe's hand replaced by Blossom on the screen. However, after the static clears, Sonic.exe and an evil entity of Eggman are both replaced by an evil entity of Blossom and Mojo Jojo, and the background is changed to a raining of Townsville, the [[Sonic.exe]] screamer is replaced by an evil entity of Blossom along with the same scream from the original video.

The video description is labelled with a fake YouTube "No Description Available" status, the bottom reads "SHE'S COMING FOR YOU," and a link to the aforementioned screamer.
'''What's Wrong with This Freaking Picture?!''' is a [[Scratch]] project made by Spanish user ''antoniodf07'' (also known as '''Anthony Man Docando''') on August 27th, 2022. The description calls it a [[Nickelodeon Shark of Doom]] parody, disguised as a game where viewers are supposed to spot what's wrong with the image.

The project opens up with a black background and white text reading, "Find the differences!", while a text-to-speech voice says the same thing written. The text disappears, leaving a completely still black background. However, clicking a few corners triggers a minimal red shark with large purple eyes and an angry expression, along with a recorded audio clip from [[Nickelodeon Shark of Doom|the original video]]. About 9 seconds in, the shark swims to the center of the screen, getting closer as the audio continues, before a static animation appears, accompanied by weird noises and beeps. Suddenly, a large flurry of screamer faces (as well as some unscary pictures) appears onscreen, accompanied by the [[SCP-450]] scream. They include:

The video starts with the audio from an episode of Garfield and Friends, you can hear a conversation between Garfield and Binky the clown while the dialogue is written on a blue background. Once they stop talking and Binky starts singing a birthday song, the video cuts to an image of some letters with faces and hats spelling "Happy Birthday". It keeps playing the song, but it's looped several times. However, at 1:15, the video suddently cuts to an image of a person wearing a Krusty the Clown mask with a loud scream. Then it cuts to a clip of a man screaming "Ti devi spaventare!", which in Italian means "You must get scared!". After the clip, the video cuts to a black screen and after a pair of seconds the text "HAHAHAHA! YOU GOT TROLLED!" is displayed, followed by "BYE XD". Then the video ends. This video is designed to be a prank, aimed to people who intend to use it as a birthday song for any purpose.
'''Garfield's Scary Scavenger Hunt 2 ''' is the second in a series of two point-and-click flash games by Garfield.com. In both games, the goal is to navigate Garfield through a haunted mansion to collect donuts and muffins. Certain objects within the mansion will scare Garfield once they are clicked on, causing the "Scare-O-Meter" at the bottom to go up a bit. Once the meter is full, Garfield will chicken out and the game is lost.

Both games take place within the same mansion, but with added areas and some minor changes, so some objects that resulted in triggering the screamer in the first game might be necessary to find an item or complete a puzzle in the sequel, and vice versa, to know how to complete the game, click [http://gamewalkthrough.blogspot.com/2007/02/garfield-scary-scavenger-hunt-2.html here].

As of June 19, 2020, the screamer was removed, along with the website due to [[wikipedia:Paws, Inc.|Paws, Inc.]] being acquired by [[Wikipedia:Viacom (2005–2019)|Viacom]] (now known as [[Wikipedia:Paramount Global|Paramount Global]]).

=== Mansion's Gallery ===
Unlike the first game, it contains a [[screamer]] at one point, which is found in the mansion's gallery. On the right is a painting of Garfield sleeping, and clicking it will zoom in on the picture, with instructions saying "Study this picture very closely" while the Heads-Up-Display claims that "There's an important clue hidden in this picture". After about 30 seconds, however, a cartoonish demonic pig appears very briefly on the screen, accompanied by loud evil laughter, followed by a text saying "GOTCHA! Click anywhere to go back", while the HUD on the right will says "Just kidding!".

The gameplay will then resume as normal. the screamer is not necessary to complete the game, and it will not increase Garfield's scare meter. Because of this screamer, the game has gotten some criticism.
'''Pink Rabbit''' (ももいろうさぎ) is a [[screamer]] Vocaloid [[video]] that was produced by HealingP, featuring [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kagamine_Rin/Len Kagamine Len] on July 26, 2008.

== Gameplay ==

'''Personal Nightmare''', also known as '''A Personal Nightmare''' was a video game released in 1989 for MS-DOS, Amiga, and Atari ST computers. The game was developed and published by Horror Soft, and directed and produced by Mike Woodroffe. The game features a [[screamer]] in the intro.

== Main Plotline ==
The game takes place in a town where the Devil has invaded, and the player has four days to eliminate all possessed citizens (led by a witch and a vampire) and ultimately purge the evil by defeating the Devil himself before he can take over.

== Screamer ==
In the intro, a priest is at an altar, playing a loop of 5 notes on a piano. Lightning starts striking soon after, and eventually it strikes him, leading Satan to rise from the ground. This sequence lasts approximately 40 seconds, until Satan's face appears on the screen with a long scream (in the Amiga version).
