REMEMBER: Always follow the rules. If you violate any of these rules, you will get a warning. If you repeat two more times, you will be banned from the wiki. If you vandalize the wiki, you will be banned without any warning.

Creating and editing pages

  1. Avoid using scary images, NSFW/NSFL images, videos, or clickable links that lead directly to the screamer website. Instead, use non-clickable links, or links that can't be clicked on. For example, ScaryScreamer.com.
  2. Use either the forum, user talk pages, or user subpages to communicate with other users. Do not create pages that are out of subject, or you will get a warning.
  3. Use correct grammar and spelling, write in American English. If this rule is violated, your account won't get banned.
  4. The page name must always be the name of the screamer, without www. or http:// . For example, ScaryScreamer.com, and not http://www.ScaryScreamer.com. The name's capitalization may be changed to title case if necessary.
  5. Do not delete, blank or replace the content of a page. If you want to delete a page, just add {{delete}} but keep the page intact.
  6. Pages may be deleted if they are very small stub; for example, a page with just a link and "[Screamer name] is a screamer." If you must create a page like this, create it under "Screamer_Wiki:Draft:[Page Name]"

Forums, discussions, live chat and user blogs

  • Be respectful to others, no insults, harrassment, or discrimination will be tolerated.
    • Users making credible threats may be reported to law enforcement.
  • Do not post spam or clickable links to screamers to trick other users.
  • Do not edit other people's posts or user pages unless the user is breaking a rule.
  • You can talk about anything you want.
  • Copypastas may be deleted; obsessive use may get your account blocked.
  • Posts may be edited or deleted if they violate the COPPA. If this happens, your account will not be banned.

Second Accounts

  • Do not use second accounts (sockpuppets) to break any of the other rules listed.
  • Do not use second accounts to circumvent a ban.
  • Violation of these rules may result in both accounts being banned without warning.

Good practices

  • Remove clickable links that go directly to the website and replace them with un-clickable links.
  • Flag any photos or videos that contain a screamer with {{Delete}} to flag the file for deletion.
  • If you see someone violating any of the rules, tell them by using this template and fix the page.
  • If you see someone vandalizing the wiki, fix the page and contact an administrator.
  • If you see any grammatical or spelling mistakes, correct them.
  • If you see any false information, correct it.
  • If there are missing categories, add them.
  • If you see any articles (or portions) of articles that have been plagiarized, give credit of the portion to the original website (example: Jarsquatter) or delete the portion entirely.
  • If you see any parts of an article that are uncited, cite them or add {{citation}}
  • Make sure articles follow the Manual of Style

Personal Images

  • All personal images should be marked with {{PersonalImage}}. Users can only have a limited amount of personal images on the wiki at a time (to save storage costs).

Minimum Age

  • Due to COPPA, you must be at least 13 years old to post personal information.
    • You can still create an account under 13, just make sure to not post anything personal.

Renaming yourself

  • To rename your account, just ask an Admin. They will rename you via Special:RenameUser

Deleting Your Account

Accounts can never be fully deleted, like on Wikipedia. The most you can do is ask an Admin for your account to be vanished.

Templates and examples

  • Here is an example of good page; it contains images, pertinent info, links, a gallery, and is well structured.

Help Guides

Are you a new user? If this is the case, the Help Guides are here for you. These handy guides show you how to use the wiki more efficiently, from how to edit pages, to adding colors and changing fonts, to becoming a moderator or an admin.

Thank you for following the rules!
