The player uses the mouse to control a small pink dot through a white maze with yellow walls. And, just like the original Maze Game, the player will die and reset the level if they touch the walls. In the original Maze Game however, when the player touches the walls, they reset to the title screen and the screamer only occurs when approaching the goal of level three. In the Gold Maze though, a screamer will occur when the player touches the walls. An image of an elderly female zombie from the movie ''The Evil Dead'' will appear with a very corny scream. A different screamer will occur when approaching the goal. The screamer shown this time is a rather disturbing image of a male pocong (indoneisan wrapped ghost). After both screamers the player can restart the game if they want.
