Hikaru.exe(Mostly known as "Ghost virus" or "Sadako virus" in Japan) is a japanese screamer application. It is a variant of the Win32.Joke_Ghost Joke Program. If you run it, it doesnt seem to do anything, however it is now present in memory and it triggers a payload at random times which shows a full-screen picture of a ghost girl (Similar to MCDonalds.exe but not the same) with a scream sound effect. It spreaded over the internet in early 2000 similar to MCDonalds.exe. However it is not as popular as MCDonalds.exe. People complained that even if you restart your computer, the screamer will continue to pop up normally.
